Hi Everyone,
We've been given summaries and reports from the Audit Committee, the Budget, Finance, and Investment Committee, and the Educational Policy and Institutional Resources Committees to share with you. Considering the current events in the national and international financial sectors, these make very interesting reading. Between investigating past actions and proposing future long and short term actions, they provide a lot of food for thought and discussion for the staff.
If after reading these anyone has any ideas or specific questions, we are encouraged to pass them along to President Fogel via our Council President Beth Walsh. Don't forget that you can give your questions to a representative, or bring them to the next Council meeting in person--any staff member can come listen or participate.
Now, if you're reading this on Thursday, I recommend taking a look at the Doppler Radar box below the Documents section--there's a hard freeze warning for tonight, and if you click on the red title you can scroll through the resulting page to find the forecast for your area of the state. If it's past Thursday, you can still see a Doppler forecast for whichever day is coming- it has a lot of different formats, so have fun with it!
Have a good evening and cover those veggies,
Joanne
